When installing OpenShift and Docker using
[root@localhost ~]# yum install origin-clients ...
We received the following error when trying to start the oc cluster
[root@localhost ~]# oc cluster up Starting OpenShift using openshift/origin:v3.6.1 ... Pulling image openshift/origin:v3.6.1 Pulled 1/4 layers, 26% complete Pulled 2/4 layers, 83% complete Pulled 3/4 layers, 89% complete Pulled 4/4 layers, 100% complete Extracting Image pull complete -- Checking OpenShift client ... OK -- Checking Docker client ... OK -- Checking Docker version ... OK -- Checking for existing OpenShift container ... OK -- Checking for openshift/origin:v3.6.1 image ... Pulling image openshift/origin:v3.6.1 Pulled 1/4 layers, 26% complete Pulled 2/4 layers, 83% complete Pulled 3/4 layers, 89% complete Pulled 4/4 layers, 100% complete Extracting Image pull complete -- Checking Docker daemon configuration ... FAIL Error: did not detect an --insecure-registry argument on the Docker daemon Solution: Ensure that the Docker daemon is running with the following argument: --insecure-registry 172.30.0.0/16
To resolve this we needed to update the following file /etc/sysconfig/docker
# Modify these options if you want to change the way the docker daemon runs OPTIONS='--selinux-enabled --log-driver=journald --signature-verification=false --insecure-registry 172.30.0.0/16'
Now stop and start docker
[root@localhost ~]# systemctl stop docker [root@localhost ~]# systemctl start docker
And try to restart the oc cluster
[root@localhost ~]# oc cluster up Starting OpenShift using openshift/origin:v3.6.1 ... OpenShift server started. The server is accessible via web console at: https://127.0.0.1:8443 You are logged in as: User: developer Password:To login as administrator:
